Revolut vs Wise vs Monzo: Which is Better for 2025?

admin8 months ago7 months ago03 mins

Let’s settle this once and for all. If you’ve ever googled “Revolut vs Wise vs Monzo,” you already know the competition is fierce. Each has carved out a strong reputation in digital banking—but depending on your needs, one will suit you better in 2025.

Here’s our side-by-side breakdown, plus our take on who wins each category.

Ease of Use & Daily Banking Monzo wins here. The app is intuitive, friendly, and packed with features that help you stay on top of spending. Instant notifications, bill splitting, savings pots—it just works.

Revolut is more complex, and while Wise is great for transfers, it feels less “everyday banking.”

Best for International Travel & Currency Exchange Wise takes the crown. Its core function—cheap, transparent currency exchange—remains the best in the game. You always know the real mid-market rate, and transfers are fast.

Revolut is close, with slightly better convenience for travel (multiple currencies in one account, virtual cards, etc.), but its exchange rates depend on when you trade (weekday vs weekend rates).

Monzo? Decent, but not built for global money movement. It adds a small fee for foreign cash withdrawals.

Fees All three offer free accounts, but Revolut has more tiered limitations. Wise has transparent per-transaction fees. Monzo’s free account is genuinely free, though overdrafts and loans are available.

If you hate hidden costs, Wise is the most upfront.

Savings & Features Monzo and Revolut both have saving tools—Monzo with its “pots,” Revolut with “vaults.” Monzo now offers interest on some pots, and Revolut gives cashback on paid tiers. Wise doesn’t offer traditional savings features.

Business Accounts Wise and Revolut both have solid business offerings. Wise is better if you’re invoicing internationally. Revolut offers more in terms of analytics and team management. Monzo’s business accounts feel like a stripped-down version of personal ones.

Our Verdict for 2025:

  • Best for travel: Wise
  • Best for everyday banking: Monzo
  • Best all-in-one account: Revolut

No clear loser here—but make your choice based on how you live, travel and earn.
